What does a massage therapist do?

Your massage therapist will use a variety of techniques best suited to your condition.  All of our therapists have extensive post-graduate training. During your appointment we will discuss the technique they feel is the most appropriate.  It may vary from deep tissue, relaxation, lymphatic drainage, dry needling, to other most used  styles of massage.

Do you offer massage therapist for non – sports related patients?

We treat anybody. We cater for most conditions, whether you work in an office environment or hard labor or studying…we are available to all. Also scientific research shows that massage therapy can help immune function, decrease stress levels and reduce recovery time for many medical conditions including; Depression and Anxiety, Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Circulatory Problems, Insomnia, Sports Injuries, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Can I get ACC on massage therapist appointments?

Unfortunately, massage is not an accredited modality with ACC so the full cost of the appointment is met by the client. Additionally some health insurance policies will cover massage while others may not, so check your policy.

How long are the massage therapist appointments?

Our appointments range from 30 mins, 60 mins and 90 minutes. If you are new to getting a massage then we advise you to arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out our forms (or you can download it now and bring it with you) This can save considerable time in the session.

What happens at the appointment?

We will interview you as per your consult form and maybe perform some tests on you. You will then be advised on what is the best treatment for you and any concerns discussed. Please feel free to discuss your concerns or raise any questions you may have, as massage can be a very personal experience. You will be draped with towels completely, other than the area that we are treating. We aim to make it the most comfortable for you as we can

What should I wear to the appointment?

You will be asked to get changed to your underwear while the therapist is out of the room. If you have concerns about this then you can be massaged through clothing, although it can be limiting.

Do I have to book in advance?

Advance bookings are advised. We have 5 therapists catering 8:30am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm Saturdays.

 How much does a massage therapist appointments cost?

30 minutes is $50 and 60 minutes is $80
