What happens during my consultation with a chiropractor?
1. First we take a case history.
2. Then a detailed examination to determine the best treatment course.
3. Then we decide and advise if any tests are needed.
4. Then in consultation with you, we decide on the best course of treatment and if chiropractic care is going to be the best course of action.
What happens during an appointment?
Chiropractic examination may include observation of the following in order to analyse the condition of your spine and nervous system to see how it is function and locate any problem areas.
- posture, range of motion and gait
- palpation (feeling of joint movement, muscle and soft tissue tensions)
- standard orthopaedic and neurological tests
- along with any further tests or imaging which may be indicated (eg. x-rays, thermography, sEMG, MRI).
What do I wear during my appointment?
Because the chiropractor needs to observe your posture, range of motion, joint movement, muscle & soft tissue tension it is best to wear light clothing.

The cost of your Chiropractic treatment depends on a few elements. If you are a new patient or if you are returning, if you are claiming ACC. The first visit usually takes longer, then return visits may be shorter. For up to date costs give us a call.
